It’s no secret that everyone wants to stick to a particular perfume and call it their “signature scent”. But if that were appropriate, no one would keep on launching perfume lines, I mean what’s the point, right?
However, there’s no secret to choosing a signature scent. Just because it’s “signature” doesn’t mean that one has to constantly use that signature. (not everyone signs the same way) It just means that you’re putting a tiny bit of yourself out there for everyone to get acquainted with, which is unique and different from others, therefore, you have to try other options.
It is important to note that in choosing your scent, it has to be a type of perfume that relates and works with your mood and personality. A type of perfume that will leave people with a tiny memory of you irrespective of your relationship with them.
Now, it is only your signature scent from the moment you get the perfume, till the moment you use the last drop in the bottle. Then, you know it’s time to shop for more and choose a different perfume that is more you. It is advised to try three different types of perfumes, starting from light perfumes to heavy ones.
I remember in high school, I always resumed with two different perfumes and used them at different times, in fact, I got my friends confused. You know that scenario where you pass by a friend without realizing, then you meet that friend later on and she’s like, “I knew you came to this place at so-so time, I could smell you”. Well, not me, I would have used a different perfume by the time we meet up and you know me, I’m all about the mystery.
Oh well, I guess that’s that for now and it’s safe to say that any perfume can be my signature as long as it makes me feel good about myself.
